The Mini Cooper S Convertible

I’m not really a car person but driving the 2010 Mini Cooper S convertible was a lot of fun. It’s got more acceleration than my Civic. Big surprise huh? The Cooper S is small – really small. I’m not sure why there’s a backseat in there. It really only fits a driver and a passenger. The good thing about it’s size is that parking is not a problem in New York City.

The dashboard is very different than anything I’m used to. It’s got a huge speedometer in the middle of it. I couldn’t find the plug to hook up an MP3 player to it. I probably should have done more research on it. Instead, NPR HOT97, La Mega 97.9 and Z100 filled the air. That was quite a bizarre combination. Heated seats make even a cold day feel warm with the sunroof open.

Since we were driving in a blue Cooper, we had to shoot some photographs. Good excuse to do some photography, huh? We went to a variety of locations – some rich, some run down. They all went well with the car. We saw one house with 4 garages and what appeared to be a Ferrari in the window. I don’t think I’ll be driving one of those soon. I would definitely get the Mini Cooper S if I could. It would probably be for a second car since it’s small. It’s a convertible after all.
