The Giants won the Super Bowl. It’s their 4th championship since I started following them. Maybe that’s why my other teams can’t seem to win one. Anyway, here are photos I took from the parade in New York City. I had trouble identifying Giants because they always wear helmets. If anyone can pick out players’ names, let me know.

I was stuck at Broadway and Dey. My other friends were spread out across two other intersections. The spot still provided a decent area for photos. The chants coming out of my section were hilarious. It definitely kept things interesting between floats.

Construction closed down parts of the east side of Broadway. That didn’t keep the workers from coming out and supporting the team. There was a Packer and a Raider fan amongst them on another floor of a building. They were promptly booed and chanted at when spotted.

This guy obviously loves the Giants and Jean Pierre-Paul.

No Super Bowl run this year would be complete without Victor Cruz celebrating in the end zone with a salsa dance. Also shown is his extremely important counterpart, Hakeem Nicks.

Family members of the Giants rally the crowd.

Offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride waves to the crowd.

DJ Ware’s rocking the iPad! I’m guessing he’s tweeting too.

Here’s center, David Baas.

I got a ring! He gone one too! He got one too! I’m guessing he swiped it from his family member that actually played. hehe.

There was lots of face painting going on. The blue faced guy from before had extra paint and a brush. One of the girls in the crowd was painting everyone’s face, blue.

Eli Manning, Mr. MVP, points to the crowd! He was unreal this year – comeback after comeback.

Eli and coach Tom Coughlin having a few words. I wish I was able to get a shot of Justin Tuck but the float went by so fast and he was on the opposite side. I was lucky to meet him at the MLB home run derby a few years ago though. He denied he was anyone special and then I recall him getting in trouble for going out to watch the game. He kept saying, “I didn’t say anything!” lol.

Many Giants players were gracious enough to catch a few items to sign for fans.

Jason Pierre-Paul speaks with the press while he’s on a float.

There parade left quite a mess in New York City.

Giants t-shirts were already printed and ready to sell.

Michael Strahan used to lead the team by screaming, “We are going to stomp you out!” every week. That was the first year that they beat the undefeated New England Patriots in the Super Bowl.
I’m going to have to go to some Giants games so I can take some in game photos. I’ve got lots of photos from different sports, just not football.. not yet anyway.
